What Car Company Is Being Conquested MOST By Hyundai? - Definitely Surprising
Press meetings can be pretty boring at times. Never ending slide shows covering countless factoids, that really never amount to much.
That is until they wake you from that comatose stare with something really juicy, like EXACTLY where Hyundai is pulling all of those customers from? These are the hardcore facts, not just a generalized idea of who may be buying the brand.
We have been tell you for quite sometime that the EDUCATED and cream of the crop consumer is looking at the competition and is choosing Hyundai over everyone else.
Well here is the truth and you can see that Hyundai has indeed connected with the consumer that EVERYONE is looking for.
If you want to see just who Hyundai is stealing from then look no further than Cadillac! Who would have thought?
Amazing stuff considering that many of you write them off the brand for those who "wish" they could buy the competition!

you think Acura is a 'truer' luxury brand than Cadillac? I'm pretty sure that Cadillac has much higher average transaction prices, in addition to higher sales than Acura.

Hyundai didn't just start building cars. Why aren't the cars that are already out there now not falling apart? He already have the case study. If anything they've gotten better.
Every manufacturer that Hyundai competes against (except Nissan) is ripe for the taking.

I don't understand this thread. Where is the surprise exactly? According to the slide, 34% of Sonata sales are coming from previous owners of Honda (10%), Toyota (9%), Nissan (5%), Ford (5%), and Chevy (4%) products. Why is that surprising? That's exactly where you'd expect the bulk of the conquests to come from. Of the luxury brands, the highest one was Caddy (4%), then you had Lexus and Acura at under 2%, and BMW at 0.7%. But if you look at the figures a Lexus owner is equally likely to get a Camry as a Sonata, and an Acura buyer is equally likely to get an Accord. The Sonata is the least likely to get a BMW owner versus the Camry or Accord. The only luxury brand they seem to be conquesting more than the Camry and Accord is Caddy. But still, the bulk of their conquests come from non-luxury brands, just as you'd expect (and just like Camry and Accord conquest sales).

009 messed up the headline because of unclear instructions by me.
It should have said 'luxury car company'' in it.

suckboy You were only 12 when hyuandi came to the US and they fell apart befort the 5year note was paid off. They may be better but they had nowhere to go but up. You will see they will fall apart in about 6 to 7 yrs and have worthless resale. You can buy one,but I never will.
