SPIED: Listen To Lamborghini's Latest V12 SING!
There is something about a V12 powerplant that has every other engine beat. Between the fact they are remarkably smooth motors, a twelve-cylinder just sings and sounds beautiful whether you're putzing around town or lapping the Nurburgring.

Speaking of which, this neatly brings us to the Lamborghini Jota -- or whatever they'll call the Murcielago replacement. Spotted testing on the ring, alongside a sparring partner -- the Gallardo Superleggera -- we can see that this Lambo will have little kids saving their nickels and dimes when it finally is unveiled.

One thing that is readily apparent in this video is how low, long and wide the Jota is going to be. It dwarfs the Gallardo and blends design elements from the Gallardo, Murcielago and Ferrari Testarossa.

Additionally, listen to it shifting. There is definitely a dual-clutch transmission or some sort of geeky tuning in order to get that "burp" or "fart" on gear changes.

Looks like the team from Sant'Agata is going to knock this one out of the park.

Earlier this week, we showed you a batch of spy photos of next year's Lamborghini Murcielago replacement that may or may not be called Jota, as some sources suggest. Today, we bring you one of the first videos of a prototype model being driven on and around the hallowed Nordschleife race track - and yes, that's a Porsche 911 taking a shot at it from behind...

1) Now THAT'S what a Lambo is supposed to look like. Not like the toy they just showed in Paris. This reminds me of a McLaren.

2) As far as engine sound goes, that's got nothing on Ferrari.

Is it me or the quality of the video that this Lambo does NOT sound as loud or good as the current Murcielago or Gallardo? I think it just a concept, so the production should sound much better. The Lambo concept they show at the Paris auto show look stunning except the back end, hopefully they fix that if they do decide to make it.

The production car will sound a lot louder than that. Perhaps their exhaust is not up to production yet but rather testing the handling and motor first. Exhaust is the last thing they need to worry about. If a car can't handle and perform well it doesn't matter how good it sounds.

However, I don't think the driver was pushing the mule to it's max.

I have a feeling that we are about to see one of the sickest Lamborghini's to date. maybe it's just me but I like the quieter sound of this soon to be beast, but then again, i'm overly biased towards Lamborghini.
