Porsche's "Baby Boxster" And "Cajun" Already Heading To The Chopping Block?

Although we've heard a lot of rumors about plans of Porsche deciding to offer more products by expanding its product line up, it seems this was set straight by the company's chairman, Matthias Mueller.

Crossing your fingers for a Cajun sport-utility vehicle? Or a baby Boxster? Well, we've got some bad news; don't hold your breath.

According to Mueller, although decisions are due by the end of this year, Porsche is going to be thinking about its business long and hard. Mueller reassured Autocar, however, by saying that thoughts of smaller Porsche's isn't totally dead.


Porsche’s future model plans — thought to include a sub-Boxster sized roadster and the small ‘Cajun’ SUV — have been put on hold, according to new chairman Matthias Mueller.

Speaking to Autocar, Mueller said that a review of new models, not affecting revisions of existing line-ups like the 911 or Panamera, was about to start...

I'm not on the board of VAG, but I would almost put down my own money that the "Cajun" will see production. Why have two small suv's with premium price tags when you can have three?

For all of you Porsche aficionados, don't worry. I'm sure even the smallest of Porsche suv's will still cost over $50,000.

I'm sure Porsche does not like it either, but like Icarus, sometimes bad things happen when you over-extend yourself.
