TEASED! Toyota Outlines NEW, Larger Prius

You can't say we didn't see this one coming!

It was only weeks ago that the Spies brought you the first spy images of a Toyota Prius minivan/MPV riding around, thanks to Carscoop. Well, now Toyota has taken advantage of Facebook and some billboards to tease its forthcoming Prius minivan/MPV deal.

Additionally, there is word that the expanding Prius line up will also receive a small-than-Prius model.

Considering everything going on with the Chevrolet Volt at this very second, we're going to give this a thumbs up for the moment.


Just before the grand opening of the Paris Motor Show at the end of September, we brought you the first spy pictures of the Prius minivan (or MPV), which was snagged in California by Carscoop reader Nick K.

Since then, Toyota not only confirmed the car at a dealer conference in Las Vegas last week, but the Japanese automaker also put up this billboard that shows the Prius MPV hiding behind the current Prius liftback with the tagline "The Prius family is getting a whole lot bigger." The billboard picture was uploaded on the company's dedicated Toyota Prius Facebook page...

The worst drivers, slowest drivers, and biggest left lane sitters are minivans and hybrid drivers. A hybrid minivan/MPV thing will cause the world to implode.

I just hope there's not another batch of carpool lane stickers to give out. The point of the carpool lane is to move quickly through traffic, a prius doing 55 in the carpool lane is not helpful.... plus shouldn't the hybrid be in traffic where it's only using the battery and being more efficient?
