Survey: 21% drivers uses Twitter and Facebook while driving
More than one in five motorists admits accessing social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter on their mobile phone while driving, according to a new survey.

Some 21 per cent of drivers admitted they are likely to check a social media alert while driving, according to research by the RAC.

The top five social media sites and applications which motorists admitted using while on the road (stationary with the engine running or driving) are email, Google Maps, music, photos and Facebook.

In the space of a year the number of motorists who admitted taking phone calls and sending text messages has tripled, according to the survey.

So according to this 1 of 5 drivers is a twit, well at least the site is appropriately named. It's amazing how careless people are about driving and what else they do while behind the wheel. I once met a guy who had a custom mold made in the center of his steering wheel for his Playstation controller, of course he had to remove the airbag but who the hell needs and airbag when you're trying to level up?!

I don't even think that 1 in 5 drivers even has a twitter account.
