The Old And The New-Can YOU Tell The Differences On The 2011 BMW X3 vs. The Outgoing Model?
Agent001 is hot on trail of the new BMW X3 for 2011. While we are not able to give you any driving impressions just yet due to a strict embargo, no one said we can't give you the most extensive gallery of X3 shots on the web.
I challenge the BMW Aficionados out there to compare the new to the old and tell us what differences you can see. Don't fret though if you have a hard time a bit later in the day we will be adding more shots to make your task a little easier.
In the mean time check out these shots and those from our official

besides for the different curves, different lines, and different looks (which is usually the case when you have different generation cars)... no....

The new one is just as feminine as the old one. Total chick car.

The most evident change is it's much larger. The new X3 is almost identical in size to the last generation X5.
And it will sell for $2100 less than the outgoing model with more content.

Hate the looks, love the N55 engine and the features. Thx for snapping the posters confirming US specs!

Doesn't look that much different. In the "small SUV" category this has to be one of the most bland looking ones. I'm sure it drives great though and it has a great engine. Like TauronB2G said, it's a chick SUV.

Looks almost like a 80% scale model of X5. Don't like the bland headlights. Rest is nice.

i have seen the car in person and been in it. side by side with the old one.
the new one is MUCH better looking and the interior is light years better. it's also larger all around and feels in-between the old X3 and the X5.
add to that the wonderful N55 engine and you've got a winner.

would it be wishful thinking to see the 6 speed manual return? some of the early shots had the manual, but I guess that will be Europe only?

Even Stevie Wonder could spot the differences from the new X3 vs. the outgoing model. WTF Autospies! Just title the article "THE ALL NEW X3".
ANYWAYS, why are Xenon headlamps still an option on premium automobiles? Its about to be 2011! Now THAT is a question you can answer for me.
As far as the X3 goes, I like it. Deboost me all you want but it never made sense to me that guys would call the X3 a "chick" car yet they would drive a 3 series. *rolls eyes* Whatever. I like the crease going down the side of this car and I also like the tail lights better than I thought I would. If it had dual exhausts on either side, I'd be sold...

I wouldn't drive a 3 series either. At least not the current one. For a man its 5 or better.

Does the new X3 have a decent suspension? The first version was simply awful.

i can clearly say i do not see the creativity as far as the exterior design is concerned, this car is too ordinary and boring there isnt much to excite the eye. the headlamps are too plain there is no magic there i just think bmw should start taking risks more by expanding their horizon as far as designs are concerned ,they are too stiff and they keep sticking to the same designs.new models of bmws are clearly the slightly enhanced designs of the old model they will be replacing, this is not the way we need to see the depth of their creativity.
verdict - there is no real significant difference between the two, the difference is in the subtle detail.

Ok , a lot of people will talk aginst this: I´ll take the X3 over the Kia, but kia (Sportage) , It have a better exterior than the X3 by far.
