SPIED: Audi's Next-Gen A6 Gets A Workout On The Track
Even though the current generation Audi A6 has aged pretty well against the competition, that doesn't have Audi sitting back and resting on its laurels. As you can see, its next-generation A6 has been spotted getting a work out on the track.

Wearing a serious amount of camouflage, it's pretty difficult to see what kind of cues it will have, BUT  several details stand out to 00R.

1) Note the more aggressive headlight design, are we looking at something more A7 like?

2) Look at the rims, Could this be an early S6 mule testing?

3) Rear taillights. Shape looks peculiar, could Audi be breaking away from the design seen on the A4, A5 and A8?

The A6 was always the "Ugly Duckling" of Audi's line-up. The C-pillar design always left more to be desired and looked odd, hopefully it will change with this generation.

The A6 and new Lexus GS are the two cars I've been waiting most for. Both of them have gotten a little past due for updates and both companies have a lot riding on these cars. It will be really interesting to see the A6

Step 1, take a picture of a new A8
Step 2, cut out (to scale) 8 inches from the rear passenger door
Step 3, tape the two remaining pieces together
Step 4, write "new Audi A6" on top of the picture.

Sure the A6 is long due for an update but the current model is still a very compelling car. That's why Car& Driver placed it first in two different comparison tests.
