The BMW X4 STEPS Out, Check Out The FIRST Sketches
Here we go! It looks like the X6 may be getting a slinky brother in form of the X4.

Boasting three doors opposed to five, the X4 looks like it will give the Range Rover Evoque a run for its money. But we have to wonder: is there any room for this kind of vehicle in BMW's line up?

What say you, Spies?

Small but packed with style – that’s the new baby brother to the X6, which these official sketches show is on the way. We stumbled across drawings of an ‘X4’ buried within the press material at the launch of the new X3.

Rumours of an aggressive SUV coupé based on the X3 have been circulating for some time, but these images give the clearest idea yet of how BMW’s three-door rival to the Range Rover Evoque will look. We spoke to the man responsible for the sketches, X3 designer Erik Goplen – and he told Auto Express that he would “love to see it made...

Does BMW really have enough market share to offset the cost of going after these micro-niche vehicles? Seriously, I know they claim the X6 is profitable, but it's so ugly only a handful of people have purchased them, and the X4 is round two. I love BMW, but don't get it. Give me the an M5 and I'll be a happy camper.

X6 has so far sold over 100,000 units, thats not a handful! and at 40-50k a piece that is a few billion in revenue for BMW, given that it shares quite a bit with the X5 I imagine BMW can pretty easily turn a profit on them. I'm sure teh same will be true of the "X4" (if they do it

Wrong ! toyota don't even have that many variants of models, engines, trim etc. BMW are fast becoming the new GM and Ford of old, having so much variation .. Audi is going the same route too..

"...BMW are fast becoming the new GM and Ford of old, having so much variation"

I think they innovate and they will ALWAYS be rewarded for that! (And imitated!!)

ps to BMW
If you build it, they will come!!!
