VIDEO: Chasing A McLaren F1 GTR In A Nissan GT-R
If you had the chance to hop on the track with some awesome supercars, you'd take it. Wouldn't you?

Well, across the pond a modified Nissan GT-R got to ham it up on the track with plenty of other supercars. Obviously the major ticket was the McLaren F1 GTR that the Nissan catches up to and follows around for a bit.

The climax of the video is around the 4:08 mark when the McLaren supposedly got on the throttle. One would expect there to be a massive gap, but is that what happened?

Keep in mind this wasn't a "race" and the uploader -- who was driving -- said neither cars were being pushed to their limits, respectively.

Check out the video below and weigh in on the comments...

This is a video of the (in)famous 'Godzilla 2' Nissan GT-R tackling a damp Thruxton race track during the 2010 Wilton House Supercar Day.

Lightly modified with an Akrapovic titanium exhaust, Cobb air intake, Injector Dynamics 1000cc/min fuel injectors and a GTC custom remap, Godzilla 2 has been rolling road tested at 612hp/620lb ft and has done a standing mile in 28.0s @ 180.7mph as well as an indicated 205mph on the autobahn...

I love both cars, but unless they're racing, it doesn't count.

Boring video and even if they did race there's no way for the Nissan to catch up. It's not a far match up anyways. In terms of prestige there's no comparison. But that's always been the GT-R's battle. For example the Porsche 911 it can't compete on any level with prestige but performance they are both very similar. As car enthusiasts it shouldn't matter. If you want a cheap super car go get the GT-R. If you want a more expensive super car get the Turbo and if you got the pockets get a F1 GTR (if you can find one).

Again boring video but it's nice to see nice cars though : )
