2011 Camaro Convertible Neiman Marcus sold out in just three minutes
Earlier this month we showed you the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Neiman Marcus Edition, a limited edition model which was prepared for the well-known annual Christmas book. Furthermore, we told you that the reservations for this car will start on October 19, at noon. Well, if you wanted one you should drop this plan as General Motors announced that all the 100 units of the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Neiman Marcus Edition were sold in just three minutes.

I love the color and accents on this edition, but I can't see that justifying the massive mark up on it. However, people who have money and want to be the first with the convertible probably had no problem dropping the $75K on it.

That exterior eggplant color doesn't go with the Camaro style; that color would've looked better on the Maserati convertible.

Some idiot will take this car, ship it overseas and make nice little profit selling it to the super wealthy so that their kid can crash it in a month.

I'm not hating on the super wealthy or the kid who gets the keys to this thing on his/her birthday. I just want to be that kid or his super wealthy father.

So bummed out. Guess I will have to settle for a GT-500 convertible for $60,000 and deal with the fact there might be more than 100 of them.

Like I said when this article was first posted:

An Audi S5 Drop top 3.0 TFSI with seven-speed dual-clutch S-tronic and quattro. RED exterior with Black and Red interior, Comfort Package, Audi Drive Select, Stainless Steel inlays, Adaptive cruise control, and Audi side assist. MSRP $73,925

I would slap someone for buying me a $75K Camaro if it wasnt a classic. (well, thats AFTER im handed the keys)
