Chrysler Imperial concept a go?

Build it and have it as a upper class 300D. maybe from $53,750 (canadian dollar)to about $62,000. Or they can make it a 2009-2010 300C.

I bought a new Imperial back in 1972 when it was a "real" Imperial; then the gas crunch hit due to a war in the Middle East and, afraid of gas rationing and long lines of customers at the pump, I sold it to a friend about a year later. He was totally smitten by its 5-speaker radio with the woofer in the middle of the dash, the left and right front tweeters and the two mid-range speakers on the rear shelf. This factory radio was the cat's meow at that time. I chose the Imperial over the Lincoln Continental of the same year because of it luxury interior and beautiful styling. I really loved that car and recall comparing notes with a member of Chrysler's board at a gas station where we both happened to be filling up at the same time. He had the same car in a different color. Technology has come a long way since the seventies and I can only hope that Chrysler's latest adventure with the Imperial name is highly successful.

There is definintely a market for a Chrysler luxury car to compete against the aging Lincoln Town Car and Cadillac DTS. With its rear-drive chassis the Imperial should be popular with the livery trade and well-suited to stretch limo versions. Still, the styling is disappointing in its being so derivative of the Roller.

I Hope this car is a go, it's gonna be the coolest car ever.
