BMW Diesel Sales hit 73%; Industry-wide comparable model diesel sales 38% for Q3
The Diesel Driver is reporting that, in Q3, 73% of BMW buyers chose a diesel where there was a comparable gasoline model available and that, industry-wide (Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and VW), 38% of buyers chose a diesel over the comparable petrol model in Q3.

All automakers reported an increase in diesel sales except for Mercedes, which (ironically) was the company that introduced the first diesel passenger car back in 1936.
