Let's match up actions to words:

iDrive: A great idea that was proven to wrong by the electronic musical instrument industry in the 1980s (a large menu-driven screen with a giant slider or knob, used to select parameters and input values sucks as a real-time user-interface, and is hideously suboptimal for real-time device control).

Flame Surfacing: From its debut, the world told BMW it's ugly. BMW told us why the world was wrong.

Launch Control: A feature that is likely to break your transmission and/or damage your differential if used exactly as directed.

Maybe BMW just got their "ideas" principle mixed up with their "NO" campaign -- It would have been better to say NO! to some of these BMW ideas.

PS: I own 3 BMWs, and I love them. All 100% bangle-free.
