Dealers want mode details about Lincoln's future lineup, before upgrading locations
Before investing in store upgrades, Lincoln dealers want Ford Motor Co. to offer more details about Lincoln's future lineup. According to several dealer sources, some dealerships are being asked to spend over $1 million to remodel buildings and make other improvements to meet new standards that Ford has yet to disclose. Larry Taylor, owner of Beau Townsend Ford-Lincoln Mercury in Vandalia, Ohio, said that there would be no new products for about 24 months.

That's a smart move on the dealer's part.

Maybe if every one of their cars didn't look exactly like the ford car they are based on (MKZ, MKX, Navigator ETC) and they actually looked like something brand specific to lincoln (Like the LS) more people would cross shop them. Most of those that do buy them are so ignorant and blind they can't tell and don't have a clue that they are just the same ford product with a re-worked front grill, a little chrome added and a juiced up dash. Many Audis are based on VW platforms but not one looks like the VW it is based on. Why can't Lincoln do the same.
