2010 SEMA AUTO SHOW: Hennessey's Venom GT On VIDEO
What do you get when you have $1 million dollars, a Lotus chassis and a 1,200 horsepower V8? Blam-o! A Hennessey Venom GT.

Clearly, this car is something special. Not much more beyond that needs to be said because after you watch the video down below, you'll fully appreciate what this Hennessey is all about.

Another publication mentioned today that this car sounds better at idle than a lot of cars at full throttle, do you agree with that?

Take a listen and let us know down below...

The Hennessey Venom GT will make its North American debut at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas on Tuesday, November 2 at 11:15 AM inside the Mobil 1 booth...

This thing is not worth a million dollars! These prices are getting ridiculous; especially when the build quality is half "behind" and the engine bay looks like some one who put it together on his/her spare time. It doesn't have the fit and finish of koenigsegg, Bugatti, and even a 100k Corvette. It really looks half "behind." That being said it really does have an aggressive look to it, which I like about it.

And by the way Agent00R, the people at Hennessey get piss at times when we use the term Lotus, because they claim that it is a Lotus. "It just happen to be design by the Lotus firm." But it is a Lotus nevertheless.

Were you expecting more cheap plastic engine covers?

What Up! Joe, Long time no see. How have you been doing? I been keeping up with your posting and article; and well you are always you with no apologies. Joe, I'm not saying that it doesn't look solid, because for crying out loud it does have a Corvette engine in which my bias opinion is considered to be very sturdy and have longevity. What I am talking about rather is the aesthetic appearance rather than the actual build quality (i.e. the quality of the engine mechanics). Seeing an Ultimate Aero TT engine compartment is one of the most celebrated car porn for me. That being said, I love everything to be exposed such as Koenigsegg, but make me feel like I'm getting what I paid for. Thats the point I'm trying to get at.

In other words the fit and finish quality.

I agree on the aesthetics department, but I'm not to sure whether I'd classify aesthetics under fit and finish.

I ultimately think that is an issue with a lot of blogs, rather it be chatting or instant messaging, the words and emotional content begins to loose their substance. This leads to a communication rift and boundaries are created.

So, yeah for a lack of better words, I was trying to communicate the "attention to the style" of the "design" in the engine bay. I guess I will relate it, to say it doesn't look or appear to be clean and refine such as the Ultimate Aero TT's, the Mosler's or the Koenigsegg's engine bay. Now, that being said neither of us can judge clearly on this matter, because we simply don't know if its the finish product concerning the engine bay. They're probably going to spruce it up for us for SEMA, hopefully.
