SPIED: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Drops Her Top And Lets It ALL Hang Out
Although many people have found the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG to be a fantastic vehicle and a proper tribute to the original 300SL, I am pretty confident many have been awaiting the roadster with glee.

I know I sure as hell am.

Now, I am not a HUGE fan of convertibles but I will say this. Having recently driven the SLS AMG, I really want to know how that car would sound with the top off blazing through a tunnel at 3:00 a.m. Because in the coupe it was outrageous. Something tells me with the top off my ears may bleed but at least I'll have an ear-to-ear smile.

Either way, AutoBild snagged some great shots of the car undergoing testing. And if that's a red top on that silver SLS Roadster, my God that is going to look incredible.

I thought this would be the case. IMO, this car looks much better as a convertible. There was something ungainly and out of balance in the coupe design. I can hardly wait to see one in person.

The special thing about SLS is the gullwing doors. Remove them and you have a SL63.
