Mazda wants to double sales in the U.S. to 400,000 units within 5 years
Mazda said that sales in the US from January to September this year are up 9% to 174,770 vehicles. Notably, the carmaker failed to keep pace with the overall US market, which reported a 10% advance. Nonetheless, CEO Takashi Yamanouchi anticipates to soon achieve a significant growth. Over the next five years, he predicts US sales to double to 400,000 units. Mazda is relying on new green-car technologies, known collectively as SkyActiv, which is characterized by efficient gasoline engines and weight-cutting engineering.

Here's a few ideas for Mazda to help sales.

-Bring back the Mazdaspeed 6 (4cyl turbo w/ AWD in a sedan is awesome)
-Fix the fugliness on the 6 before doing the above
-RX8 or 9 or 7, just make it a true sports car with real power
-Mazdaspeed 3 redesign with AWD to handle 300hp this time around
-Mazdaspeed 2 with a turbo 4, yum
-If Ford won't give us a Ranger, bring back the B-series!
-Offer a 6 GT hatch style
-Make a less feminine MX-5 or a stripped down turbo version for play
-MX-6 needs to come back, 2-door coupe larger than a RX8. People miss those cars
