EuroSpec Jetta Debuts With Significant Changes For A More Sophisticated Buying Public?

Volkswagen has revealed this European-spec version of its new Jetta saloon in Germany.

The cosmetic differences over the US version of the car, launched earlier this year, are described by VW as “subtle”. But the real changes are underneath, where European models get their own distinct engine line-up and a more sophisticated suspension system.

Mexican built cars from VW are said to be inferior in quality to there German builders, VW should either pay them more or even better pull out of Mexico and pay professionals the wage they deserve, computer products made in China are of very poor build quality, you are better off buying older computers for that reason, And I hate torsion bar suspension, its hard to have a progressive rate torsion bar actually work.

It's all About money here.IRS costs more. This was a way to keep the Jetta prices competetive with Corolla and Civic

The American buyer typically is concerned only about money, not quality.

That's why there are more Corollas and Civics sold, cheaper and better long term quality.

If driving a car can be entertaining, why opt for chore-like dynamics?
Furthermore, I 100% fail at understanding why folks would come here to defend mediocre offerings.

the only model of interest to the readers of this site is the GLI, and it should have the euro IRS and other goodies. the great unwashed will not care about a torsion bar or its differences to an IRS.

That is way better than the bland car we get here. Once again we can't get what europe gets. If you want to sell more european cars give us what europe gets, then the car will sell itself once people actually drive it and compere it to the lame competition.
