BMW announces snow and ice training courses in winter 2011
BMW is offering snow and ice training courses from January to March 2011. You might say that you don’t need to work on your winter driving but it might interest you to know that the training will be done on some pretty awesome vehicles from BMW. In Solden’s BMW Snow Drift Training course for instance, drivers will be taught how to drift on snow and ice in 430 hp M3 models. Meanwhile, the BMW snow training uses the same location to give driving lessons on snow and ice with the use of BMW X3, BMW 5 Series and BMW M3 vehicles.

Why don't they save the money and do more R&D into reliability?

As I see all comment from you are against BMW , let me tell you I don't know who you are and I don't even care , but I owned three BMW before different models, Mercedes and Volvo , all I have with my cars is a normal services and normal replacements parts like brake pads, wiper blades, etc.
I never have a bad experience with one of then I also inclued a Audi A6,2003 was a great car too. So sorry maybe the reason that you feel like taht is because you can't afford one. lol..........
