2010 SEMA AUTO SHOW: Mummbles Marketing Modifies The EQUUS

2010 SEMA AUTO SHOW: Mummbles Marketing Modifies The EQUUS
Hyundai's big-daddy that's gonna go up swinging against cars like the Lexus LS460, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series and Audi A8, obviously is the Equus. After the Genesis and Sonata's success in the States, this may be final coup that makes a LOT of people turn around and recognize that Hyundai is a serious player.

With that said, since the Equus is "pimptastic," it seems tuners have taken note as there are already two other modified Equus's making their way to the 2010 SEMA Auto Show.

Well, here's a third.

And yes, we have a third tuned Hyundai Equus ready to take the ride to next week's SEMA show in Las Vegas. This time the culprit responsible for the tune is Mummbles Marketing, which has created the 450-horsepower-strong, VIP themed "Elegant Equus".

To bling it up and capture the VIP look, the tuning shop has added a five piece body kit as well as a raft of carbon fiber parts including the hood and trunk, plus 22-inch alloy wheels shod in tires size 245/30/22 up front and 265/30/22 at the back. The range-topping Hyundai's interior has also been upgraded featuring custom leather seats, black suede details, and the VIP-necessary curtains...

They also ride Cadillacs. Your point being? This car looks very ghetto.

You know what sucks about 22" rims? Having to wait behind the f***er that bought them as he slowly traverses the railroad tracks, out of fear he may bend one.

Yet another good example why anything over 18" is a waste.

I hate to use the term "ghetto," but for crying out loud the car is ghetto. And that is not a racial remark. The rims just made the car appear to be cheap. That is something I would not ride or buy. Its looks uncomfortable.

Why don't Lexus call Hyundai and said give me back my Lexus LS460 rear end and exhaust? LOL..... I can a Lexus LS/GS, BMW and MB design in this car.

Hyundai got to be freaking kidding, why would anyone get this when they can get a German car or Japanese who's well more established and has a history of success to back it up. I would NEVER buy a Hyundai, my next car will be a German like a Audi or BMW.

If Hyundai want to enter this segment why don't they make a Luxury brand like how the Japanese did in this segment. Maybe they will be able to fools some American to buying their junk but in Europe, Good luck.

Chill out Dude! Lexus started out the same way back in the early 90s. They are Toyotas back at their home market. It's only recently that they change it to Lexus. Lexus is just a Toyota with a fancy badge (made to fool American people). I for one would buy an Equus base solely on their "valet services".

Now three aftermarket companies have "pimped" out this ride and we are talking about it. Tasteless or tastefull, Equus has arrived on the landscape!! And Joe, you need to get out more! The fresh air will do you good!

(Wonder if you would be saying the same thing if the car had been a Mansory Rolls Royce Drophead ((built by BMW)) or a Porsche Cayenne Turbo)

They should've chosen a more regular color and stopped at 20 inches on the rims, nor should they have blacked out the headlamps. I like the Equus but the purple and 22 inch chrome does not bring out this cars good points.
