Ford Police Interceptor Stealth Concept unveiled ahead of SEMA
Ford revealed today the Police Interceptor Stealth Concept, a new car that will be revealed to the public tomorrow, at the 2010 SEMA Show. As expected, the car is based on the Ford Police Interceptor sedan, but was developed as a customized undercover stealth version that’s both stylish and full of high-tech surprises.

Apparently, the SR-71 Blackbird airplane was used by Ford designer Melvin Betancourt in order to design this car. Just like the plane, the car features a solid black paint finish, as well as lights designed to be inconspicuous, with the surrounding area painted black so they blend in until illuminated.

This is a good looking car. It will be very interesting to see if Ford can sell the V6 idea to a performance clientele that has not yet been weaned from V8s. I'll bet that platform was made to accommodate a V8.

yeah those 22 inch wheels will make production as fast as the next saleen S7 as the Super Saleen S7 Police Interceptor. Beleive it or not I have drove the New SHO and I will tell you the car has some BIG COHOANYAS(if this is how its spelt). and the car is roomy and the design is the BEST looking Tauraus Ford has EVER built and the quality of materials is alot better. Its about time they started follwing toyotas footsteps.

GM did it with the V6 impalas. They were pos's but the police bought them. I don't see why this wouldn't wok, the taurus is a much better performing an much better built car than the impala.

Hah! Never thought I'd see a ghetto police car. Until now.

Those HIDs... I hope I can still react to a police car as well as I can react to any Crown Victoria or any of its Licoln and Mercury cousins.

How many young people are going to see this car and try to race it thinking it is a street tuner car. I know it will not look like this in real duty but the idea still makes you ponder
