2010 SEMA AUTO SHOW: Is This What James Bond's Lexus LFA Would Look Like?

2010 SEMA AUTO SHOW: Is This What James Bond's Lexus LFA Would Look Like?
If James Bond had the chance to specify one of the 500 Lexus LFAs scheduled for production, how would he do it?

Remember, Lexus has touted the LFA by saying just about anything is possible -- as it should be when paying upwards of $400,000 bucks.

After seeing the shows from the SEMA floor, 001 and 00R agree that it would probably look something like this. Although its dark gray metallic paint is subtle, it is enough to slip by relatively unnoticed but has enough POP to show the car's lines off. Additionally, the contrasting interior has a suave look to it that only a classy, smartly-dressed individual could pull off.

Make sure to get a look at what we believe is the first modified LFA in existence down below...

Isn't everything stock other than those plain-looking wheels? So what's the point?

beleive it or not those plain wheel are the best looking thing on the exterior of the car. as for the design I AM sure it worked well for wind tunnel test and all that but aesthetically its definitley not at the top of my list AT ALL. The design team should have taken a little more time with this and not just give it a DTM-ISH look and slap a price tag of close too $500k. Like I said from the beginning with this car the interior is great the exterior makes it look like they took some SEMA body kit product and threw them on their....all you haters can say what you want but aesthetically this car needs work to the exterior.

how was $350K interpreted at 500K...?

Would James Bond be caught dead driving any Toyota? Probably not. BUT unless, in some humorous twist, JB should be driving the Cygnet --- he'd be actually driving a Toyota. Come on!

@LexusKindaGuy12

including the 50 LFA's with the Nurburgring kit $75k on top of $350k add on taxes which will probably get you around $450k so yeah its close enough to 500K

Have to agree with this one. I know the reviews are incredible and it seems Lexus has finally come up with a car that has some soul. Still, the design leaves me unimpressed. I saw in it Detroit as a concept and it just seems too over-wrought. That being said, I'm pretty sure Lexus was not targeting my demographic (poor, undereducated, unsophisticated and prone to daydream) with this one. James bond, indeed!

The 5 single-spoked wheels are pretty nice for something aftermarket, but for an LFA... just not special enough.

The wheels on the passenger side look better. Those plain ones are NOT whats hot.

On a side note: Ive never noticed this before but where are the door handles on the exterior?

@LACMAN

On the "top" of the door near the venting by the C-pillar.

I hope Bond would have more taste and stick to Astons (or maybe Lotus).

I say ol bean, why ever would James Bond drive a Lexus? Next thing prêt-à-porter versus Savile Row?

Aston is no bespoke either. Maybe next time we'll see Bond in a Bentley, haha.......

007 Drive's whatever company pays the production company the most.....it has nothing to do with James' taste.

Two Words- Ferrari 458

its beautiful, apparently astonishing to drive (a huge leap forward from the stellar 430), and it certianly has more soul (although maybe its still lacking some by ferrari standards)

Pretty sure Bond would never drive a LF-A, as he has better taste.

Lexsucks, you cant be serious?!

As far as the LF-A, it really does nothing for me. Not that I could ever afford one, but having driven a Ferrari F430, Lambo Gallardo, and Ford GT, all those cars are major performers and look beautiful, whereas the LF-A looks disjointed and uninspired.

I respect Toyota for doing what they do, but I'd much rather take a Nissan GT-R + $275k than this (and yes, I know the GT-R and LF-A arent exactly apples-to-apples).

Let's be honest. The LFA is more badass than anything Aston has ever put out. Real performance and not just a pretty shell.

lol it's also uglier then anything aston has ever put out as well. And you can't claim that it has real performance if you're not willing to compare it to real performance cars like the f458 or upcoming mclaren.
