Next Gen Speed Camera's Enforce More Rules
It turns out that in Finland new speeding camera's are being tested out. Turns out these new camera's are capable of checking insurance registration, tailgating, and even can detect if seat belts are being worn.

Now I understand that people don't trust each other, but this seems absurd. Are we that worried that the person next to us has their seat belt undone that we are willing to give up our own freedom and privacy?

Just one step closer to the Orwellian prophesy. I'll bet these cameras will be very popular in London. Fortunately in the United States, many of the red light and speeding camera installations are being dismantled by the courts. While it's too early to declare a victory for freedom, it is at least encouraging and offers precedence in court cases.

I bet they will be reinvented to take advantage of more clear cut violations that don't target the actual driver.

Such as:
Parking violations
Insurance violations
Tax stickers
etc

None of these have to be linked to a specific driver but can still issue fines in court to the owner.
