2010 SEMA AUTO SHOW: Chrysler Shows Off The 2011 Challenger, Charger & Durango

2010 SEMA AUTO SHOW: Chrysler Shows Off The 2011 Challenger, Charger & Durango
Although we have seen Ford and General Motors hatch their own respective renaissance, Chrysler Group has been left lagging behind. Between the deal with Fiat and a lagging product lineup, things were not looking so good.

Then the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee released way earlier than it was expected to and the rest of the new and updated products are on their way. Most are expected to hit dealers before 2011 begins. And rather than wait to show the "New" Chrysler off at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, Chrysler elected to do something different and show off several new cars at SEMA.

Not only did the new, limited-edition 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 make an appearance but so did the all-new Charger and all-new Durango.

Question is, are you impressed? Are these the cars that are going to usher in a new era for Chrysler?

I cant lie chryslers new sport line is crazy I love every single model i seen. I love this the HP wars are on and dont sleep on chrysler the new charger is crazy they did a great job. it seems like the new Chysler, Dodge, and Jeep line up is beautiful and fiat is doing a good job at marketing the old school shape with the old school name hence the "Charger 392" ......KUDOS TO FIAT

Whether it was Chrysler or Fiat behind this rebirth is beyond me.

All that does matter is that Chrysler Group is back to creating compelling products in a highly competitive market. Good for them!

I think they needed new management and a new look and fiat did that for them. I wouldnt be suprised to see an italian inspired chrysler in the next 5 years or so

The shots of the interior dont do the Charger any justice. Its far more stunning then the pics suggest. That 5" touchscreen is standard in all Chargers with a 8.6" screen on Navigation equipped models. That red leather interior is an option. Also, the shape of the bezel on the dash is a nod to the shape of the tail lights and is also made out of real aluminum. I have also seen the new 300C. Im not even going to bother submitting the article because it wont ever be posted. I will just wait for it to pop up. They did an excellent job on the new Charger but the 300C? Well lets just say: Dont get too excited folks. It slightly reminds me of an Audi by the front end (head lights in particular) but the rest is a watered down version of the out going model. Im not even going to start on the tail lights. Looks like the rear end doesnt even belong on that car! Probably will still be popular though. Hopefully Chrysler gets the 8speed from the jump. Charger will get it next year...

Oh and the 5" standard touchscreen (Charger) controls Climate, Radio, and connectivity.

Well, After I have seen the new 300 C I must say that I am stunned by the work done by Sergio, Ralph and the ChryCo employees, it's obvious that the love they have for cranking out fun affordable cars will pay off - I think the new 300 C are extremely nice - it can be seen un disguised at allpar.com, the Charger are stunning too - I sure look forwaed to see the 392 Challenger in real life as it's going to replace my 2007 300 C early 2011. Being a European - I have seen the Fiat 500 and the Alfa MiTo & Gulietta - you have something to look forward to - the ChryCo dealerships will be awesome to visit again - no more PT's !!
