SPY PHOTOS: Next generation BMW 5-series first look?

It would look better than the current car...now f they would fix the interior it would be fine.

I have to admit, i like this styling a lot more than the current 5 series. it was just too much!! The front was too out of control and the back was totally ugly.

BMW 5/7 serious were getting too radical that is why the 7 serious revamped its rear end styling on the 7 series.

front looks like a 3-series crashed into an infinity M and back looks like a toyota avalon.... ugly....

Is everyone just plain out stupid or did recent photoshops alter everyones eye-sight. This is clearly a Photoshop,and Idea, a Vision. If this was the actual new 5 series why would they show the world a car thats not due till 2008/2009. Look how long they witheld actual info on the new e90 coupe. Just a month ago BMW released pics of it and its still not due till the late fall.

Remember all those photoshops floating around none of them came even close to the actual product. I speak fluent Germany and own a couple Auto-motor-sport and Auto Bild newspaper, and at the bottom of every pic there is a disclaimer that says "Vision" which mean that what the news paper thinks the car is going to like based on verbal info at BMW.

I like the design, it looks like a more mature version of the current model. My only dislike is the rear lighting - too like Korean models for my tastes.

At the risk of repeating myself for the zillionth time, where is some proper protection from door dings in parking lots?

I must say that this update makes it look more like the 3series mixed with some lexus!! The current 5series design is radical, but looks great, all of you who like this update, probably also like the way a lexus and GMs look!! It takes courage for what Bmw did, and i must say for that in it self, is why i love my 530i. Again if you like Bland design, which is what bmw seems to be going back to, then yes. One last thing, ever notice, its always people who dislike things that voice their opinion the loudest, you never hear the majority who likes it, cause they dont whine!!

The rear looks like the curent Lexus IS. Not the Sonota! I don't think they should put the X3's front lights on that. Ew!

If you read te cover of the mag it clearly states in German that is a 5 series. It is probably an update which is better than the current but still has a way to go.
