Volkswagen planning Jetta R, if the market wants it of course
As part of a move to expand its R performance range, Volkswagen will use its new, sixth-generation Jetta saloon, according to the latest reports from Autocar.

In fact, VW displayed a version equipped with a 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine with an “unspecified” power output at the Mk6 Jetta’s European launch in Munich last week. This engine is mated to a six-speed DSG gearbox and its 4Motion all-wheel drive system. Earlier this year, VW’s R division was spun off as a separate in-house company.

VW - How about a Passat R in 4-dr and wagon versions with 4-motion and a High Output 4cyl Turbo.

Unfortunately, VW only produces what the market 'wants' in Europe... here in the US we are stuck with whatever they want for us. This coming from a US, VW owner which would have opted for a ton more options had they been available to what I 'wanted'.
