It's called a "Plymouth" Barracuda, not a Chrysler Barracuda, or a Dodge Barracuda.

It would be nice if they brought back the name as a very low volume halo car manufacturer. Bring back a few old names like the Barracuda and Prowler and made sure they don't cross breed more economy cars into it like the multi badged neon of old.

the chrysler group does not need a halo. it needs a solid product somewhere in its lineup, especially in the non-truck/SUV car area.

If you build it - they will buy it.

Question is, inspired by which model year? I'm afraid they'll do the '70-'74 model and just do a restyle of the current Challenger. If so, you've gotta ask yourself whether they've learned their lesson with respect to badge proliferation. I'd like to see them try a concept of the 2nd-gen, A-body Cuda. It would be quite a design challenge to do a modern interpretation of its "two-frame" front end.

I love the idea of a Cuda, but not before Chrysler can figure out a way of not re-using the same interior in most of it's more popular cars.

By the way, if they revive the Plymouth brand for this car, it will be a limited production run and more expensive.
