Fisker Seeking MORE Funding, Are YOU Over It Yet?
You would think that after Fisker had plenty of cash backing its new venture that the company would go forward and get some autos on the street. Unfortunately, you've thought wrong.

Even though no product has hit the market and no one can confirm word that the Fisker Karma actually has 3,000 pre orders, Fisker is looking to raise another $75 million to $150 million buckaroos.

Thankfully, this time its private so taxpayers will not have to carry the cost.

With that said, is the Fisker Karma still a hot commodity or are you guys and girls "over it?"

Plug-in hybrid startup Fisker Automotive, we’re told, is looking to raise another $75 million to $150 million in private equity investments. It would seem that Fisker is in a better position than the company was the last time it went looking for investors earlier this year.

Fisker has since closed on a $529 million loan from the U.S. Department of Energy, bought GM’s old Boxwood Road plant near Newport for $20 million, and was awarded $21.5 million grants and loans from the state of Delaware. Also, speaking at the Paris Motor Show last month, where the company unveiled the first factory-built version of its $88,000 Karma sports sedan, CEO Henrik Fisker said the company had taken more than 3,000 pre-orders for the Karma....

For the possibility of a brand new new American car company focused from day one on producing exactly what people want, sexy and responsible, I do hope to see this company thrive and run circles around their competition. Think o all the jobs it could bring to the US. When they go public, the investmen will be paying off.

Don't forget, Tucker just made a very cool car. It didnt ease anyones dependence on fossil fuels.

Give me a break dude. How long do you think this company is going to keep hiring and make it products in America to be profitable? If they stay in business long enough, I can see them outsourcing for sure to get more profit for investor.

How do I know if he really borrowing money to invest in his company and Not to buy a yacht, mansion and expensive exotic cars for himself on other people money?

This company has really good and sexy design but so far only talk and promise Nothing has come out yet.

This car company will crush their competition, a car will appear. Today's market is a global one, what part of your Lexus was built in America? You can't deny an American car company is going to employ Americans. Those are the best jobs to have. Your money ends up in the fuel tank of somebody's yacht just like mine and everybody else's money. I prefer to give it to the guy with a conscience in his business.

The company is sourcing parts in USA. They are hiring Engineers, Designers and Administrative people in the USA. They acquired the Delaware facility to produce cars in the USA. And...Fisker will be selling a large portion of cars outside the USA. If you take a deeper look at the economics you would see this company is creating jobs in our country and will increase exports to other countries. Karma is just their flagship, but if you research the 'Nina Project' then you will find the true golden nugget. One car does not build a company, it will take a lineup of cars. From what I am reading about Fisker, they have a strong chance at being the next big auto manufacturer. I look forward to the Nina (more in my price range) and I hope for their success.
