Do not expect these cars to be available in very large numbers here in the US. If you want one, get on an interest list ASAP. They are here largely for publicity purposes and to piggyback on the huge amount of marketing $$ that Toyota has already invested in this market promoting the technology. Instead of trying to choose sides and promote Diesel over Hybrid exclusively, Audi is going to offer both and let the consumer decide. By the way, the PHD's over in Ingolstadt did prove that the Diesel version of the Q5 performed better and did deliver about 1.5mpg better combined avg fuel economy than the Hybrid but still feel the need to have a Hybrid presence in the US. Despite a significant calling to bring the Diesel Q5 to the US, it will be delayed until 2014 in favor of the Hybird for now.
