Acura will start offering an iPad application to speed up the selling process
This January, Acura will start offering an iPad application that that will help dealerships hasten the selling process. This application will be a stripped-down version of its consumer Web site. Dave Heath, Acura senior manager of sales communications, said that the application will distill talking points and have quick videos available to help make the sale. Heath said that the iPad will provide “short little bits of communications."

Acura had been trying to develop a smart-phone application for salespeople but it realized that it wouldn’t be effective because of the small screen and the fact that there has to be some personal space between the salesperson and customer.

Acura management must be completely lost if they think designing an ipad/iphone app is the tool that is going to kick-start(no Honda pun intended).

Dear Acura,

Like the old joke from old: It's not the dress that makes your ass look big, it's your fat ass that makes your ass look big. Meaning, it's not for lack of innovation that has hurt your sales, it's your chosen design language and vehicle mix that are causing you to loose sales.

Three simple steps to improve Acura sales:

1. Bring back the RSX/Integra
- Have the model start under $20k
- Make it a coupe so no cannibalization of TSX sales
- Have a GS-R and/or Type-R version
- Give it a sporty design that doesn't polarize
2. Redesign the TL
- This model should be able to compete with the Infiniti G's & BMW 3
- Increase the performance, more MPG's, no beak/shield
3. Remember what Acura stood for
- Honda with more luxury, performance, style, reliability & fun
- Make a performance-luxury Hybrid/electric that people want to buy
- Acura needs to hold Honda's halo car
- Hopefully performance based, but Hybrid or electric also work

LOL

If they won't do any of those things, they should just start giving away free iPads with any purchase instead of the App
