Audi ups the ante with another Supercar due in 2015. Can BMW match the boys from Ingolstadt?

Audi's new four door supercar due in 2015 is set to add another iconic model to it's fast growing stable. With the BMW Z9 (that was introduced in 1999 as a concept) not making it to production the question is no longer just when will BMW make a supercar competitor to Audi's R8; but now where is BMW's competitor to what will be potentially Audi's second supercar.

BMW's sports sedan is better than any supercar. :)

That's more or less how you play the game, IamEvilHomer. But don't forget to inadvertently contradict you're statement by pointing out some detail you dislike that's not found on the A4. Example:

"That looks exactly like the A4. How are they supposed to see out of that opaque window."

Looks more like a grand coupe competitor, then an actual supercar.

"Supercar"? A bit of an exaggeration.

Doesn't exactly look like a "Supercar" to me.

Ok 2 things first this is not an official Audi concept vehicle but one by a designer as his idead of an above A8 concept in the distant future......so this article has little to no basis. Second BMW has no reason to compete with "VW Groups" supercars, Audi getting a "version" of a lamborghini (also known as platform engineering an already established car) with an Audi or Lamborghini engine really isnt much of an accomplishment by any regard. BMW is an independent company they dont own multiple companies to simply to platforms, and engines from if Lambo wasnt part of the group Audi would have no R8 bottom line...

If this is so then Audi has been very good at keeping things under wraps. The idea of an A9 is one thing, actually having a platform on which to build it on and running prototypes driving around is another. Not sure I'm buying any of this yet.
