2010 LA AUTO SHOW PREVIEW: See The 5-Dr Range Rover Evoque On The Streets AND In Motion
If you didn't catch it, the other day Land Rover Range Rover came out and said that at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, the five-door Evoque will be making its big debut.

To bring you up to speed, the Evoque is going to be the new baby Range Rover, which is essentially based on the LRX Concept from years ago. And although it's powertrain doesn't sound riveting -- being a 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 240 horsepower -- keep in mind it weighs approximately 3,600 pounds.

A BMW 328i produces 230 ponies and weighs 3,400 pounds to put this in perspective.

Anyhoo, thanks to our friends at Carscoop, we've got new video of the latest Range Rover, what do you think? Thumbs UP or DOWN?

The wait for the five-door version of the promising Range Rover Evoque soft roader is almost over as in less than a week's time, we'll see the SUV up close at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Following yesterday's detailed photo presentation, we now have the first video footage of the Evoque, which will hit U.S. dealerships next fall with a 240-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot petrol and a starting price of around $45,000...

Ridiculously underpowered for its weight class, ugh. I'm not looking forward to this car in hilly areas.

The car is easily big enough to fit a healthy V6 turbo diesel - enough torque to have fun while being frugal at the pump.

@quizz

did you even read how much it weights?

240 horsepower and 3,600 pounds is not a bad set of figures...

Nice idea good interior , good exterior but as always they fail in something now is the engine.
Some people said they is going to use a Ford engine or something I don't know if this is true or not but is this is true is a great fail to use Range Rover name,this design and use a Ford engine. This is a great reason to call this car a failure and the price is going down for sure because people don't want to pay high for a Ford engine inside. Let see what happens..........
