Chinese In Final Stages Of Buying Interest In GM
General Motors Co is in the final stage of talks to sell equity to long-time Chinese partner SAIC Motor Corp ( in conjunction with its landmark initial public offering, two people familiar with the matter said.

The two government-funded automakers are currently finalizing how much of a stake SAIC would buy in the top U.S. automaker after discussions involving technology sharing and SAIC's ambitions to move beyond the China market, the sources said.

Reuters says this is a single digit stake holder, so it would not be controlling the majority. It seems that any car we buy will have some parts made in China and other countries.

At least GM is getting funding. The thing is... Obama is trying to get close with India, so he can use India's long-term poor relations with China to weaken both country economically and probably physically as well. As a result, America might then be able to revive itself.

In other words, we sort of wasted our money by bailing out GM because their potentially main source of funding is indirectly under pressure by the US government...

Are these politicians doing things that are ultimately good for the country, or are they just doing whatever is popular at the moment and might keep their political parties alive?

US never has real friend in the world. We only have enemies. Based on the facts, India is still far far behind China in terms of military power, economic, technology, countrty-wide stability such as religious conflict,............. We still can't weaken China in both economically and physically, how do you expect India can do so?? If it is a dream, it is okay. If you really expect this to happen, it would never and ever happen.

Wah, wah, wah!
We don't want to bail GM out.
We don't want to own it..
It's "Gov't Motors".
What?, the Chinese may want to buy it??? Oh, no, we don't want that either..
We don't want it, but we don't want anyone else to have it either - particularly those rat-bastard Chinese commies??
OMG, what are we gonna do????
