Range Rover working on a new small crossover to take on MINI
According to the latest reports from AutoExpress, it appears that Land Rover is currently working on a new crossover, smaller than the recently launched Evoque, which will take on cars such as the rumored Bmw X4 or the MINI Canyon, a three-door version of the Countryman, the Nissan Juke and the Bmw X1.

In addition, the car will also be cheaper than the Evoque and it will cost around £25,000 or $40,000.

Smaller cars are the future, but I don't believe America is yet ready to adopt the super small "Smart" cars that's all the rage in Milan/Paris. American cities and suburbs have big and spacious roads with ample parking space. Cars sized like the Honda Fit and Mini work well, but a lot smaller and I don't think they'll sell as well.
