Toyota debuted today the new RAV4 EV at the 2010 LA Auto Show, a new car developed with Tesla which promises to offer a range of 100 miles in actual road driving patterns. As you may know already, Tesla is responsible for supplying the battery, as well as other related parts, while Toyota was responsible for development and manufacturing leadership and the seamless integration of the powertrain.

Push button gear shift?
Yuk

Probably useful in case of sudden acceleration.

I'd pay $1 million for this car if I could accelerate it at full power with a CVT. It would be fun to smoke all those poorly tuned cars on the roads - like a Grand Cherokee SRT8 showing that V8 is still boss! :D
