2010 LA AUTO SHOW: How Can ANYONE Not ADORE This Porsche?

If there is one thing that the Agents can't figure out, it's how can anyone hate a Porsche. Not just any Porsche though, we are talking about the 911 Targa.

What a gorgeous product with an awesome way to enjoy a crisp, sunny day. Sure you get some added weight with all of that extra glass but you do keep the structural rigidity of a coupe.

And did you know that the Targas are becoming exceedingly rare? Let me ask you, how many 911 997 Targas have you seen? Since I cannot hear you, I'll tell you how many I have seen: two. Including this one at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Also, take a look at the Panamera's rear end again, particularly in this blue. Is it still as peculiar now that this car has been out for a bit of time now? Is it starting to grow on you?

The Porsche 911 is like a summer blockbuster movie that has been over hyped. It's decent and most of the time worth the money, but definitely not as special as it's made out to be. If/when they come out with the new 918 spyder concept then Porsche will again have a car that I adore/lust after.

The Porsche 911 is like the summer blockbuster that mom wouldn't give me the money to go to. So instead, I just crap on the movie because I'm jealous of all the others that have the price of admission. Porsche is the best car to hate when you can't afford it.

It's pretty well documented why it is unpopular. It puts an extra 300 lbs in a very un-Porsche location for weight distribution--the roof.

The last real targa they made was the Carrera GT.

911 has gotten too big and lux. If Lotus pulls of any of their concepts, they will be the new Porsche.

What would be special is if they designed the new 2012 Cayman to look a lot more like the Porsche 904 from the early 60's.

I don't mind red interiors, but the one on the 4s is a little too much. I see that and instantly go into "shinning" mode! I would be afraid of looking in the rear view mirror out of fear of seeing two identical twins in the back seat.
