2010 LA AUTO SHOW: Ford Sets Its Focus On 2012
Even though it can be debated that the 2011 Hyundai Elantra may have stole the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2012 Ford Focus was still there ready to impress.

Not only did Ford bring a production version of the car, it also brought a whole fleet of Focus', including the hotly anticipated Focus ST that showed itself off at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

From what we can see, it looks like the small car war is getting even hotter. Tons of competition and great offerings.

When was the last time you saw so many intriguing cars in the small car class?

i certainly see some volvo influence. but of course the good foci are across the pond, wonder if they'll bring the RS here?

Focus vs. Elantra - we need a full break down, drive dynamics, etc.

Wait a few months I am sure plenty of auto mags will be doing just that.

The elantra is sharp, but Ford will have better drive-dynamics.

Very impressive, I would like to have more room behind the rear seats though great for people that don't have a family or a dog.

I would bet the focus has a more dynamic drive with better handling and a more involving driving experience than the elantra. Both look great and their style alone will sell them, but the elantra will cost less. Hyundai should offer the turbo engine from the sonata as an option for a performance variant to battle the Focus RS. I would take the Focus if I had the choice after seeing it, but more importantly because I think it will handle better, be more responsive and have better feel.

If you want one, just let me know where you need it drop-shipped and as soon as one hits the ground it'll be in your driveway!

Lets hope Ford does not dumb it down like they did with the new Fiesta.
