Report: Honda restores plans for NSX successor
A source said that Honda didn’t let go of its plans to build a successor to the NSX and that the project wasn’t completely shelved. This source said that instead, the NSX is in a different form and that its flagship two-door has been given a more market-friendly and eco-friendly sports-car approach.

Ho hum, been saying that for the last 10 years... truth is, the Japanese seems a little too timid now to bring out cars that are exciting. We have what, the LFA, ISF, and the GTR, not much of an offering it seems. No wonder their economy has been stagnant for the last 20 years, no one is wiling to take risks...

LOL you should tell BMW that! Honda's NSX test mule runs laps Nord for 7:38, and Audi has better sports cars now(let alone what Porsche will contribute), so where are they?

Honda no Care anymore. Show me the money and than we talk. You keep flip flop back and forward until people don't care anymore. And when are you are going to give us a true flagship sedan with a V8 engine? Even Hyundai has a V8 pumping 400+ hp.

What's the deal? If no V8 in the future game plan, give us a turbo or twin turbo V6 with 360 hp to 450+ hp for a sport coupe we want. You better hurry up before Hyundai improve the quality of their cars even more and surpass it you.

Dear Honda,

Stop toying with my emotions!!!

Also why are you building a supercar when you don't even have a decent entry level sports car. How about you guys build me a RWD prelude or S2000 successor (put a roof on this one please). If u can manage to do that right, then build a mid level sports car for Acura. After that is done its time to worry about a supercar. Baby steps. You can do it.

I have been a loyal Honda fan for years. but i fear my s2000 will be the last Honda I ever own.

Come on guys get it together.

sincerely,
some nerd on the interwebz

Sorry, if it is not mid engine then it is not a NSX successor. Honda, if you insist on this being front engine, please call it something else.

What this article doesn't say is that HONDA might reverse the Accord platform, but how? Does that mean a midship RR? Kinda unlikely, but extremely welcome.

Honda... Get your things together. If you really want some sales, you'd bring out a successor to the CRX, Prelude and those kinda sporty entry level cars. When you can handle those and get them right, call me for plans about the NSX. :) But for the present, work on entry level cars before going big.

Am I the only one that read that it may be built on a modified Accord chassis? What do the plan to do? Rotate the chassis 180 degrees so they get the engine in the "rear". I just hope if that's the plan somebody remembers to tell the engineers to put the steerable wheels towards the front...rear...err...the opposite end...<sheesh> Somebody wake me when the real Honda gets back into the game.
