VIDEO: Why Would You Spend The Extra $ On This Bugatti Veyron?
So, as we all know the Bugatti Veyron is currently the world's fastest production vehicle with a staggering top speed record of 268 mph. And if you didn't know, Bugatti has done the globe a favor by producing five World Record Edition (WRE) Veyrons.

Kind of like the McLaren F1 LM, that was only built in a series of five in Papaya Orange, this Veyron will be highly sought after for years.

But with everything, there is a catch: it costs 1.95 million euros while the standard Super Sport is 1.65 million euros.

With all of that said, is the WRE worth the extra change or is this merely a pissing contest based on obscure facts and figures?

Last month, evo Contributing Editor Chris Harris and Harry Metcalfe (Editorial Director), hit the jackpot by spending a whole day driving the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport on the fabulous driving roads of Southern Spain.

Chris Harris and Harry Metcalfe managed to get the keys to one of only five ‘World Record Edition’ versions built by Bugatti. These ultimate Veyrons are easy to spot as they will all be finished in bare carbon bodywork, finished off with florid orange highlights (including the wheels) to differentiate them from the standard Veyron Super Sport....

After you get past the first million, what's the difference?

Why Would You Spend The Extra $ On This Bugatti Veyron? Because you can afford it, and you want the bragging rights. Hmm, come to think of it, this applies to other things as well. How many Kawasaki ZX10-R riders can get anywhere close to the performance limits of their scary-fast motorcycle? Beside on a straight line, I mean. And BMW M drivers? Ferrari drivers? I thought so. I'm not bashing anyone. It's just a lot of appeal for some to own "the fastest".

Yes I would!!! Believe me, there are more than 5 people in this world who have the means, desire and ego to own the best and fastest production car ever made. It still costs waaaay more than 2M euros to build so look at it that way if you must. Nothing like this car is ever going to be built again.....ever! It is a museum piece and would be the crown jewel of any serious collection.

You could probably buy a Veyron stock, have it painted and enhanced to similar performance/power for less than the cost of the factory version.

Welan-

Even if you did that, you wouldn't have the body panels and all the rest of the changes they made to the car to make it stable at that speen.
