The Audi destroys the C55, which is quicker than the M3 in acceleration. The RS4 is an amazing performance machine. To fight it, MB will put the 6.3 500+ hp engine in the next C class AMG to compete. Right now the RS4 is the king of the "smaller" European cars.

Just showing how Audi's "inferior Jetta on steroids" is the best in class.

So your saying that the C55 is inferior because it has 5-10 year old technology. That sounds like a not really valid comment. If you really want to bring technology into it your going to start a whole new battle on which car has the best technology and so forth.
Any anyways your comment does nothing but solidify BMW4EVER's: The RS4 is more powerful than what MB and BMW have out so they HAVE to make the C65. Personally I think MB is stupid for making a C55 and a C65. Just make one freakin model and make it a monster.
Stop using exuses for poor performance by MB, i. e " A) cars that are not in the same class and that are not designed for the same purpose".
What in the hell is the purpose of the C55 then??? I guess AMG is just a fluke?

Bottom line. The RS4 wins.
Excuses aside. The simple fact is that the RS4, with its (gasp!) 4.4 seconds to 100km/h, astonishing dynamic suspension system, and rear-biased quattro, is simply the best car in its class.
Stop whining and accept the truth my friends.
Also, the RS4 is based on a 4 year-old platform. So enough with the age excuses.
Anyway, Audi is now accelerating their RS lines to come out 1 to 2 years after the initial base model debut.
So expect the RS5 (based on Audi's new modular platform) to come out within a couple of years to continue Audi newfound dominance in the high-performance arena.
In the meantime, We're all looking forward to next year's debut of the 550bhp RS6 to trounce the M5.
At this point Audi is unstoppable. I sure hope they don't become #1. I like driving a less common (but more intelligent) car.
However, with the proliferation of new class-leading models only accelerating, it looks like Audi may become the world's #1 premium brand in less than a decade after all.
Good, for Audi of course. But also good for BMW, who must step up their game to keep up.

This blog has a lot of self serving entries loaded with inaccuracies. For example, CHEWY says the RS4 DESTROYS the C55. Fact is, it doesn't destroy either the C55 nor the M3. It is a titch quicker in certain straight line tests. BMW4EVER comments that AMG has to throw in a 500+ hp engine just to defeat the RS4, that Audi has everyone else in the rear view mirror (for keeps), and that the MB and BMW are INFERIOR. Wrong on all counts. First of all, Audi just threw in a 420 hp engine. One ups-manship is routine in all competing vehicles. It would be stupid to criticize Audi for dealing in more hp just as it was stupid to criticize MB and BMW for doing the same. Audi is not superior. It is good, and perhaps as good as MB and BMW. It is not superior. ANIM8TOR says it is best in class. This is subjective at best. It measures best in certain categories and measures last in others. It is no where as SIMPLE as he writes. ANS4INOC likes to compare horsepower per litre. And then judges engine superiority by this. Torque is a MAJOR factor and, for some, aural quality is another. Audi is last in torque, by the way. And because of the vehicles weight, this would not be something to cheer about.
The Audi RS4 may be the best all-around performer of the three, and for 15k more than the C55, it should be. But it isn't the best for high speed tracking and it is by far the heaviest of the three, by over 400lbs.! The BMW handles the best with the best driver feedback of perhaps every car made (save the Lotus Elise). One could argue this is the best car. The C55 is the most solid at high speed and is only a fraction slower than the RS4, from a dead stop, but not in the passing lane. All of the cars have drawbacks, and they all have advantages. But NONE of these cars is by far SUPERIOR to the others, or able to DESTROY the others. Audi has yet to prove itself in this category of vehicle. AMG and BMW have already done that. The pedigree cannot be argued. I expect Audi to succeed and the RS4 is a great start!
