VIDEO: Please Don't Drive A BMW M3 Like THIS On The Nurburgring
Now if you're an enthusiast and you haven't been to a track day, you should look into it. Not only are they incredibly fun but it can be a tremendously rewarding experience, particularly if you're competitive.

But one thing we wouldn't advise is going to the track and not understanding your skill level. That is a costly mistake that could cost the drive his/her life or, even worse, an other's.

Hopefully you can take a moment to get a chuckle -- or disturbed -- at the sight of what appears to be a novice driver in an E92 BMW M3 trying to tackle the Nurburgring, which is notoriously one of world's most difficult circuits.

With that said, onto the video...

**Scroll down to get a look at what may possibly be the worst driving on a track, ever

The Nürburgring Nordschleife is known for its demanding corners, sharp turns and idiots without any skills driving their fast sports cars on the track. It has remained a one-way, public toll-road for nearly 80 years except when it is closed off for testing purposes, training lessons, racing events or people crashing their personal family car. We highly suggest certain people – like the ones in the video below – not to enter the race track and cross the gates of the ‘Green Hell’...

Some folks' understanding of a "Track Day" is to take their on-street antics onto the track. Looks like the guy in the video is an example of this; A "cool" guy with a fast car.

*My* understanding of a track day is an opportunity to get professional training and coaching, and to practice that instruction under watchful supervision in order to develop new skills. And then to refine and strengthen those skills, again, with the benefit of professional coaching. This is quite a different approach than taking bad habits onto the track, and exposing them to higher speeds, like the guy in the video.

Just my two cents, folks. Your opinions may differ.

I fully agree...Except that not all of us have the budget for it, so we run the risk that could result to a much greater cost. Not that I've ever been to a track but I'd imagine doing the same thing as this dude lol

I thought the M3 is the universe's best handling vehicle, kind of disappointing to see that it didn't cut mustard :-) Just kidding bmw devotees.

lol but you can't make up for driver stupidity. Even stability control won't save you.

I know I have to connect the dots sometimes, but if you watch the video of a novice driver going "beyond his limits" you'll note that the likelihood of a crash is pretty imminent.

While I cannot say I know the driver's skill level of the crashed E36 M3 in the picture, it is the result of driving on the Nurburgring.

At the end of the day, crashes happen for drivers of all skill levels. But, with that said, the possibility can be brought down if driver's know their limit.

So yes, the pic is a possible result of driving like the wheelman in the video.

I was racing on the Nurburging last night in GT5 and I have to say that it's a completely different track than the rest. It seems like you have to get into that perfect rhythm of quick left, right, braking and accelerating to get best times. You mess up one of those for a split mili sec and you're doomed as there is no space for correction on most of the track...So I can understant why even pros crash in that ring.

I don't think this driver was going beyond their limits, I think they just didn't know the track, the two places they went off were on very slow sections of the track. It's not like he did a high speed skid off.

At the "'Ring" probably more than any other racetrack, you need to know every turn before you can really attack it...

so what you're saying is that everyone's first time on the ring they should drive like a grandma? There are two ways to learn how to race. The fast way, and the slow way. The fast way is to exceed the limits then pull back. The slow way is to slowly build up. By building up you will never know how close to the limit you actually are. It's only when you push the vehicle past the limit do you really know what the vehicle is and isn't capable of. I commend this driver, not because he fell off the track twice, but because he knew enough to back off in the high speed sections and try to push harder in the slow stuff.

Luckily it was a slow-day on the ring.... when you obviously don't know how to drive as evidenced by his lines, him lifting off the throttle mid turn etc. etc. you shouldn't exceed your limits since you put other people's lives, property, your life and your property on the line.

So no, there is one responsible way to learn how to drive/race, and that is to take it slow. Do you honestly believe you should run before you crawl?

Come on.

Joe lets just say you and your son or you and your dad are standing off track in what you think is a safe distance taking some action photos of some exotics at speed. This clown in an M3 looses control in a "slow" corner and runs over and kills your dad or son. Would you still commend this driver? Your statement is naive.

The point of the video is, he is driving the car like an idiot. He doesn't know the vehicles limit nor his own.

There is a difference between learning how to drive and horsing around.

This guy is a douche.
