MORE 2012 Audi A6 Shots PLUS The First RS6 Rendering

You have to give it up to the people over at EDL Designs. In what must be one of the quickest examples of photoshop turnaround, the DeviantArt account holder posted an image of what he/she believes would be a good example of a new generation RS6.

Rendered with what appear to be R8 V10 rims and ceramic brakes and the latest RS5's design cues all put together in a Nogaro-looking blue, it shows what is possible.

Although it's merely just some fun for the time being, what do you think of this rendered speculation? Compare it with some of today's released studio shots in our 2012 Audi A6 Photo Gallery.


Talk about a lightning fast response. It's been less than 24 hours since Audi pulled the veils off the fourth-generation A6 premium sedan, and yet we already have a photoshop rendering of the future RS6 created by an artist from EDL. Granted, the production model would most likely sport blistered wheel arches while it wouldn't sit so close to the ground, but the 'chop gives us an idea of what an RS version of the new A6 would look like...

I can't tell if this is a A4, A6 or A8, I love Audi but this is unacceptable. Especially with the price you're paying for their car, and it not cheap either. All of Audi cars cost a Huge Wad of Money $$$$

Audis cost 3-5k more than the competing BMW all while having a weaker engine and less performance. This new A6 is the most recent example. Audi's offers the least performance per Dollar than any other make I can think of.

Audi's always have the weaker engines, slower performance, and the least precise handling when compared to BMW. A nicer interior isn't enough for me to forget about the other Audi short-comings. And the Audis don’t last any longer than the other premium makes. So what ever perceived quality that Audi enjoys isn’t based on reality.

And I used to own an Audi and would consider another one in the future if they weren't so overpriced. If the S4 cost about $5k-7k less, I would have got one. I just would have had to have learned how to live with the Generic looks.

And you speak of Audi advantages? Other than a nicer interior, I dont see any. And Audi interiors have gone downhill lately. The current A4's interior doesn't have the same quality materials as the last generation. I just don't see Audi as anything special.
