....It is a sign of the intelligence and taste of Autospies readers when they vote a crude, badly photoshopped image over a stunning, real-life Aston Martin.

77% voted against the Panamera. Regardless, the poll is whether you think the real Panamera will look better than the Rapide, NOT whether the photoshopped car looks better.

but I think my CLS, that started this trend, is still the finest looking sedan on the road. There is a reason that Top Gear picked the CLS as the best luxury car of the year against all pretenders... it is a no compromise style leader.

Take a high school beauty queen, add 60 lbs, acne and braces. That's what the Porsche looks like compared with the Aston Martin.

The Panamera looks like an "ugly" version of the CLS500

today, no one can seem to do what they do best and be content with it. bmw cant stay with sports sedans and sports cars, jeep is coming out with crossovers, and now porsche even has an suv. it seems that it is no longer enough to be a niche brand, as porsche was, legendary in status.
i wonder how porsche would have looked to people today if they had never come out with the cayanne. sure, they would never get the wealthy soccer moms, movie stars, or wealthy doctors who dont care a thing about driving but just want something to boost thier image at the car park. but does porsche really need those people? NO. aguably, the panamera would have been a better move into higher production than the cayanne if they wanted to preserve their integrity, but i think the perfect porsche is still the 911. it doesnt try to be anything that it is not. it is a great sports car, and it acts it. if only porsche will realize that it doesnt need to join the bandwagon on every type of car just to "be in" with all the other makers. porsche was perfect how it was before it decided it needed to be like everyone else.
