Nissan To Move Rogue Production To US Due To Strong Yen
Nissan Motor Co will stop building the Rogue in Japan at the crossover's next remodeling around 2013, transferring output of one of its best-selling U.S. models to reduce exposure to the strong yen, an executive with direct knowledge of the matter said.

"There won't be another Rogue made in Japan (when it is remodeled)," the executive said, declining to be identified due to the sensitivity of the matter.

I wonder how much non-US sales the Rogue has, and whether Nissan will export from the US. It's sad for the US to be in the position of a low cost country, but given we are (due to our currency) it should drive increases in US production over European and Japanese production. Unless I've missed something, I dont think there's much of this (such as Ford exporting the new Focus from the US to Europe).
