Obama hails U.S.-Korea free-trade agreement

President Barack Obama has been busy touting a free-trade deal between the U.S. and South Korea that gives new provisions for automobile imports. Instead of immediately or after three years as was previously agreed, the U.S. will end its 2.5% tariff on Korean cars in five years. According further to a White House fact sheet, in return, South Korea will decrease its 8% tariff on U.S. cars to 4% instantly, instead of dropping the tariff altogether. American automakers will also be pleased to know that U.S. tariffs on Korean trucks will stay at 25% for eight years rather than dropping off immediately.

Why don't both countries drop the tariffs all together? Don't blame Obamma, he is again following orders from the $$ people, the corporations, maybe one day we will vote for our favorite corporation instead of pretending we voted someone in to make a difference.And Koreans aren't going to buy American cars, they are too loyal and proud of there cars, they also know that it helps there economy to support buy Korea..

Obama vehemently attacked this very trade agreement during the '08 campaign. Now he is for it? 2012 and "change" (i.e. he becomes a one termer) can't come soon enough.

Half of my family is from America, I have no issues with Americans, but can you see a pattern! It doesn't matter who is in office, they do the same regardless who is in, just like you said about Obamma, you are just skimming the surface,lol You have to vote someone in that isn't Republican of Democrat, corporate interest is so embedded in both parties, you need Ron Paul, the media is owned by the corporations, and if they feel threatened by anyone they will do there best smear campaign, Ron must be pretty clean, no scandals..He is definitely not gay, did you all see "Bruno" ,lol He is America's best bet because he is independent, the money people would want to kill him if he got in, Presidents are just puppets, with exeption to the great Presidents that tried to make a difference like JFK ...All the ones that were killed for trying to do the right thing.
