Honda Civic Concept To Make World Debut In Detroit
In this newly released sketch, the feeling of the new Civic is captured as energetic, sleek and aerodynamic. It's a preview for this upcoming concept vehicle, which will be shown at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in January.
The production version of the ninth-generation Civic based on the revealed concept will go on sale in spring 2011.

In other news, I had a turkey sandwhich for lunch today...
Much less a redesign than a freshen up of the current model is what we will see. Drawings with droppy oversized wheels and airbrushed effects do no justice for spy work. There are hundres of photos of wrapped 2012 Civics around, be brave, pick one.

Honda's new slogan for the Civic.
"The most Accord like Civic yet."

Honda was taken more serious when they had the hatchy and integras. The current designs are trash. The civic is such a boring car.The SI has a wonderful smooth tranny, but other than that I rather have the 2000 civic si at least it was fun to drive. The fun stopped after they dropped the rsx. It will take a lot for them to recover and gain respect again. For now the whole lineup is full of boring, ugly, weak performing cars. So sad.

My girlfriend had the Accord coupe. It was decent looking, but so big.She had the 4 cylender. That motor produced no power. It would scream, yet was barely accelerating. The transmission was constantly up shifting and down shifting. It could never find the right gear. Handling was ok for such a big car. This is the best part. After 4,000 miles the rear brakes began to squeal. Not regular squeal,it sounded like metal grinding against metal and was so loud. It was very embarassing. There are so many complaints about this issue yet Honda will not cover it under warrenty. Pads wearing at 5000 miles. Not just the pads, the rotors and calipers wore out too. Thousands of owners are on the forums complaining. Honda wants $500+ to fix it.She switched to a 2011 Mustang V6 and loves it,so do I.

when you say squeal, do you mean the squeal that happens when you need to replace your brake pads and the bent squealer bits start rubbing? or is it another one?

After 4 or 5 fun civics over the years, I bought a 2002 EX. It was such a piece of crap, I 'll never buy another.
Honda cuts too many corners on Civics these days.

My 2002 EX Coupe 5spd. was a great little car. I'd still have it if I didn't listen to others and pickup my Matrix. It may have sucked in the snow but it was fun and economical (avg. 38mpg).
