A FIRST Look At Hyundai's Veloster Reveals A Lot Of COOL
From the sound of things, it seems as though Hyundai's Veloster is shaping up to be quite the car. Not because it is suppose to obtain 40 mpg without the use of a hybrid motor, but because its going to be damned good looking just like the concept.

Our friends at AutoExpress got a first look at the car and according to them, the production Veloster is largely carried over from the concept and even boasts an asymmetrical door setup.

Hyundai is set to serve up a new niche when the Veloster makes its debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January. The firm claims the new car will be the first “utility coupe” when it hits the road next year.

The Veloster was first shown as a concept (pictured) at Hyundai’s home Motor Show in Seoul in 2007. Hyundai had no plans to put the car into production, but such was the favourable reaction, the Veloster will be built, and Auto Express has had a sneak peak at the finished article...

@Lexus

Different strokes for different folks.

Like you say that you believe the Sonata is good looking, I do not agree with that.

Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

But if I was saying how great GM products were you'd probably be making extra accounts to boost me.

Speaking of which, I am very impressed with the 2011 Buick Regal, without the Turbo.

Maybe Hyundai can show Honda what they SHOULD have done with the CR-Z.

Hello sportsbike80 I'm worst nightmare. So you think Honda is orignal huh? The CR-Z's rear C pillar came from the 1999 Kia Carens and its alson on the new Chevy Sonic. The Pilot's back end is a CARBON COPY from the Scion XB's. The CRZ's face is from the Tundra, Lancer and VW Iroc concept. The Accord's side profile is a twin of the 2009 Legancy's side profile. Don't forget the Ingisnt is a rip off from the Prius. Lets get Acura now like the MDX'S TAILIGHTS COMING FROM AUDI.

You know what? Forget just Huh-das I'm about to bring everyone to the kitchen table once again from A to Z. Like the Ridgeline, Mazda Tribute and 2011 Jeep Campass's headlights. The 2007 Toyota Rav-4, Chevy Malibu and Mercedes C class hint headlights. 1999 Nissan Altima and 2010 Ford Taurus hint face. I see the Saab and the 2012 Explorer CUVs copied the 2005 Kia Mesa (oops I said that already time to get new cars).

My does the 2011 Chrysler 300’s greenhouse look more and more like the CTS. Check these headlights: 2004 Infinti Q, 2005 Lexus LS, 2005 Caddy Deville, Suzuki Verona, 2010 Lexus LX, But only the 2006.5 Optima is the copycat ignoring the rest. I remeber the 2004 Sonata and Amanti got critizied about copying Mercedes but ignoring the Jaguar S Type and the Malibu having headlights from Mercedes too.

I'm jtz7 mess what the sonata I'm bring out the Camry to the kitchen table too with its headlights coming from the Acura TL. I see the Prius mpv looks like a Fit.

Side profiles, Lincoln MKT, 2011 Honda Odessy and 2011 Hyundai Azera hint kinks in side profiles. But only the Hyundai is the copycat right?

Ford 500 and Audi A6 hint greenhouse but only the 2007 Azera's greenhouse was the copycat. Who else thinks the Koreans are the only ones copying and the Toyota IQ is orignal? Who thinks the Toyota Venza is original?

I'm not done. SUVs with thick rear pillars at the ends: Scion XB, Highlander, Lexus LX, VW, Tigun and 2011 Kia Sportage but only the Sportage gets questioned about having blindspots ignoring the rest.

Oldsmoble Intrude (however that no longer in production car is spelled) and 2002 Acura TL hint tailights.

I know over 30 suvs with slanted C pillars.

I know over 30 suvs with slanted C pillars but pushed toward the rear.

I know 15 hatches and SUVs with the 2011 Jeep Campass rear pillars.

I know about 10 cars or SUVs that usses the Land Rover's A Pillars and the Veloseter isn't the only one (Suzuki Swift).
Bring it on 2011 cars are no orgianl than 2010s. Who else thinks Honda and Toyota are origianl? Who thinks Nissan is original? Who thinks Chevy and chyrsler is original? Bring it on!!! I'm JTZ have a nice day!!! I'll get almost any make and model.

So now what you'll going to do give me a negative 10 on my votes? What's that going do change the 300 from looking like a Rolls Royce? Is giving me a negative going to change the LaCross' tailights from looking like a BMW? By giving me a negative 10, is that going to make the 2010 Equonix orignal? Is that going to change the Smart's tailghts from looking like the HHR'S?

No give me a negative 100 that'll make Honda's and VW no longer boring right? A jetta for under $6K please.

The front looks to be a combination of the Genesis Coupe (good) and hyundai's new corporate face (bad). The rear, however, is horrendous. That trunk opening is practically on the roof.

So apparently they don't feel that it is important to be able to see behind you, or to check your blind spots. Still, a neat concept.

That's right give me more and more negatives. I love it!!!! I want to get all the negatives. I lvoe it when haters get made because I said things like this, "Cars with exterior mirrors that stick out, Prius, Insight, Leaf, Nissan Versa, HHR, Fit, 2nd generation Saturn Vue, Lexus IS, Toyota Venza, but only the Kia Rondo was the copycat." Come on make this a negative 25. What's negative 9 and 4 for me supposed to do..... not a damn thang. That's right get mad!!!! I''m jtz7 I ain't going no where!!!! Talk about the Koreans I talk about everyone else's designs. And I get a negative 9 please. Don't get made at me because I brought up the Ridgeline's cloned headlights from the Mazda and the 2011 Campass. And this looks a lot better than that ugly never seen on the road yet Honda CR-Z. Now what? Now what?

So now what? What ya'll haters going to do huh? Talk about how the 2007 Sebring's headlights copied the current Elantra's? Oh yeah put the Ford Fiesta as one of the cars with exterior mirrors that stick out too. I'm jtz who wants to challenge me? Which one of you haters wants to be man enough to challenge me or chicken out by giving me negative numbers? Negative numbers don't move me. I ain't commeted on here since the K7 ad talked about the audi tailights and ignoring about 25 others that copied Audi's tailights too. I'm jtz have a nice day.

i used to think hyundai's were crap, but after reading jtz's posts i've realized that hyundai's are TOTALLY ORIGINAL! it makes complete sense. since everybody copies everybody else, hyundai is obviously never in the wrong.

thanks jtz.

Hello sportsbike80 I see you still think that Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Ford are original. Personlly Hyundai ain't doing any convincing that everyone else is copying too. I'm doing that!!! I'm jtz have a nice day!!!

2004 Mitsubishi Montero and 2004 Lexus GX hint greenhouse. 2004 Lexus GX and 2004 Honda CR-V hint face. I'm jtz if anyone going be doing the convicing its going be me! Not Hyundai not Kia not even Toyota. Speaking of Toyota the Venza's face came from the Ford Edge. The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee's rear pillars came from the Ford Edge. But that's ok after all, the Ford Fusions's tailights is from the Subaru Impressza.

I remember when the new Malibu first arrived as a 2007 model totally redesigned, not long after that it won a design award. Chevy should have thanked Acura, BMW and Mercedes for the award The headlights is from the C c lass, the tailights from BMW and side is from the 2004 TL. Thanks guys chevy couldn't do it without y'all.

What you mean Hyundai is original Ajax? The Veracruz and Lexus Rx, the tucson and the Murano and the Genesis is just as guilty as the Chevy Malibu. I may be a fan and all but I'm not biased. I never said Hyundai was original but my post proves that everyone copies too not just the Koreans. I can get Hyundai just like Toyota, Acura and VW. Unlike Toyota and Honda fans who pretend their brands are orgianl.
