If WIKI Leaks Were Ever To Expose Car Company Conversations, WHAT Kind OF Dirt DO You Think Would Come Out?
When Julian Assange isn't too busy getting busted for "Surprise sex," he's hard at work releasing diplomatic cables that have been likened to the TMZ of diplomacy. Without question, WikiLeaks is one of the hot topics for 2010 and being an automotive-related publication we've gotta ask:
If there were a car-focused WikiLeaks, what would be revealed?
Would we hear about the inner workings of car companies and their scandals? Cover ups of recalls? Workplace relations? "Black listing" and making fun of journalists?
What kind of dirt would you want to hear about AND what do you think would be released?

Toyota got all the bad media for the sticky pedal. The big three had so much more issues way way back in the 80s 90s and 00s but they were not sensationalized in the media so nobody paid much attention. I'm talking burning Expeditions, gas leaking Suburbans/Silverados are ones I can recall. Years from now, Toyota will be just another car company producing hot selling cars (not necessarily fun or exciting). Just look at where Ford is right now after the Xploder or rather Explorer rollover issue with Firestone.

Falsified gas ratings, Co2 ratings and safety ratings by big three were ignored by current administration as it would have hampered its plans for government to fund industry.

Cool! So the lawyers say our risk level is acceptable if we just ignore those sticky gas pedals?

I think we'd find out that cars could possibly be a few generations ahead of where they are now, just a little conspiracy theory of mine.
