Spies break the first virtually uncamouflaged photos of the 2008 BMW X5-Side view

The main difference is that the newcomer is about 16 cm longer and 6 cm wider than the current model. It is thus providing enough room for a third row of seats. Like with all the other modern luxury off-roaders, also the new X5 can seat up to seven passengers, which quite obviously has become a must. Also the dashboard of BMW’s biggest off-roader has been revised to incorporate all new technical gadgets like a radar governed cruise control and BMW’s first night vision. An evolution of BMW’s x-Drive AWD system is in place, plus advanced wheel-by-wheel traction control.



Power is expected to come from two revamped Diesel engines, a 3,0 litre six cylinder/231 HP and a 4,5 litre V8/330 HP and from gasoline engines starting with a 3,0 litre six cylinder /258 HP up to a new V8 5,0 litre /367 HP.

The new X5’s release is scheduled for October 2006, an M-version could be in the pipeline for later on.

explode, but if you look at the side profile and take in consideration how big a reasonable sized seat would be, ie. the front and 2nd row, you will realize that sticking a full, or even medium sized seat in the back does not accommodate anything other than a toy poodle and on top of that creates ZERO cargo space.

to look at the 3rd picture from the top and VISUALIZE an adult sitting in the 3rd row. Now, try and visualize him in the upright position as opposed to hunched over because of the rake of the hatch window. Lastly, visualize a usable amount of cargo space.

I don't understand English? Boy, you really are running out of insults because that is simply far-fetched. Believe me, I have a high reading comprehension and knack for the English language; more-so than you do - I do.

On another note, "Watch how he discards your experience with the Audi". Are you nuts? When was I an Audi fan. I like Audi's, but it's not like they own my opinion or anything like how BMW is to you. All I said was that the space in the back of the X5 (being the 3rd row seat) is PATHETIC AT BEST. Idiot.

Would you care to explain this comment. Please, spell it out for me because I can't seem to understand between me not mentioning the Q7 or its capabilities and me thinking that there is inadequate room in the "3rd row" of the X5. I don't think there is anything wrong with the X5 besides its outdated interior and it having 2.5 rows when they say it has 3.

Care to fill me in because I am an idiot. (rolling eyes at half-wits)

What comments about how great Audis are. I have complemented on the cars but I never gushed about how much I want its exhaust pipe or anything. I especially didn't mention about Audi love in this post.

Regarding what cars I like; it depends. For non-luxury cars, I like Toyota. For luxury, I like the cars based on their mix of luxury, looks, quality, reliability, safety, and cost. In an ideal world, I would have one of each car from each company in the luxury segment, but especially not 90% of Bangle BMWs. I would take a 2005 330i any day of the week, but certainly NOT a 2006 330i; I think that the front end looks feminine and awkward.
