This is rediculous!!!! A Mustang, Mitsubishi, and above all, a DODGE MAGNUM??? scored higher than the Mark Levinson audio systems in the Lexus models? Are they completely delusional?

Also:Best PREMIUM-PRICED CAR INTERIOR
• Mercedes S-Class
• Lexus GS
• BMW 3-Series
• Audi A6
• Lincoln Zephyr
• Cadillac DTS

Totally effed up list. Scratch 3 Series, Lincoln, Cadillac. Where is the E-Class? That has one of the best interior designs ever. What HAS this world come to!?

Hmmmm...What are you guys talking about? I never seen anything special about Toyota or Honda interiors. They look just as cheap as any GM product. Domestic interiors have improved greatly but do not compare to German autos. Then again thats a different class. Lexus has the best interiors from Japan, Infiniti is 'ok' and Acura is a notch above the Camry.

Funny how Japanese auto fans are he first to bitch when their cars are not on top of some list and call it BS. Also first to gloat and still call other makes crappy when they are on top of list. Makes me laugh. Biases cloud judgement and only see what you want to see.

I would take Fords Shaker 1000 audio system over the Lexus Mark Levinson any day. Of course it depends on taste and YES I heard both systems. The best on the Audio list above would be Audi, then Ford. The Nav should go to Acura.

BMW's headsup display was developed by GM, so not sure why they are mentioned. Then again BMWs version looks better then the Corvettes.

I am a Japanese auto fan, but I appreciate a nice interior when I see one. I would take the E Class interior over anything Lexus in a split second. At the same time, nothing outside of the Bang & Olufsen and ELS system can touch the most recent ML systems. Try the IS 350 ML system. Are you talking about strictly bass reproduction, or actual SQ?

Cadillac Escalade.
Infiniti FX
Lincoln Navigator

Should be on the list: Toyota Tacoma - Very nice interior.

And Again,

MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS... Does anybody else agree that this is one of the nicest interiors you can get in a car? And what, a DTS is better?!

As big of a MB fan as I am, I really don't like the HK logic 7 system. The Audi B&O is WAAAY better, the Levinson is nice too.

As far as interiors, I'd have to go with the CLS Design, S-class instruments

These finalists are not listed in order of preference.

Remember, the ordering in each category is arbitrary. So don’t bother reading too much into it.

The only thing that we can quantify from these finalists is which brands made the most showings on the list.

And that would be Audi, with 7 entries as a finalist.

No big surprise there.

I had the privelege of being able to test-out the audio system on an Aston Martin, don't be handing me the keys because you wouldn't be able to pry me out of there. Hell, I'm driving away with the car!

the list is extremely suspect. The Dodge Magnum has an "above average" audio system, but in no way is it a sound system that audiophiles can listen to and say that it is award winning. Best Sound system? That is what they nominated it for, right? Who here thinks that the BA sound system in the DODGE MAGNUM is the best sound system you can find in a factory car? Anyone? You have got to be kidding me.

I assume you have listened to all of the other sound systems before you rate the Mark Levinson the best?

ML systems are different for each car in the Lexus line with different levels of technology. Also, just considering that they have different sized and shaped listening spaces should indicate that they will inherently sound different and have different acoustic properties.

I challenge you, Plano_A4, have you considered that and, therefore, tested EVERY single car in the Lexus line-up's ML systems? Well? I mean, you should have right? Did you use the same media source and song selection. Oh wait, I am not even sure if you have good ears. I would need to know your credibility. Not that it really matters in the scheme of things. And, not like mine matters much either! :O

Spot on in describing the SQ. And also, the hard plastic I am sure was chosen in the Magnum due to its sound absorption properties!

you see, it is this new technological marvel; the more surface area vibrating in the car, the more efficient the diaphragm on the speaker is! :D

I don't think ML does speakers though, right? They probably use other sister companies' drivers, say, Revel for example? I would kill for an ML/Revel setup. Pure audio bliss. Oh, and a plastic room.

Most definitely! I would give the two thumbs-up on the Sky exterior and one and a half to the Solstice. GM needs it. If only they could make their other cars less LAME!!!
